I loved Pandemic the first time I played it. It is a great system, and was my introduction to well designed euro-style co-operative gaming. Over the years I played it with many friends, eventually over multiple editions. The Legacy games had promise, but we never finished one.
Along came Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It was immediately tempting, but I wondered how often would we play a Pandemic game? And how good was it? The Iberian Pandemic game was good, but I only played it once.
Eventually the Clone Wars game went on sale and I picked up a copy for less than 60% of MSRP. I went about painting the minis, the heroes of course got the most time and attention, but I probably enjoyed the droids just as much.
After playing it twice I'll say, it is a good game. It has not been coming back to the table, but then we are in a Star Wars downtime. I'm much more into Primal, Marvel, and other properties right now. Someday we will revisit the series and I'll be happy to pull this game out of the pile.
Overall - not a TON of star wars flavor, but enough to make the game fun and different from Pandemic. I give it 4 out of 6, in the Punchboard Paradise rating system.
