Runebound - Third Edition
I have longed for an adventure game, but one with tight goals and a narrative clock. I beleive I have found one in Runebound 3rd Edition. It has some quirks, the foremost being the chit-tossing combat mechanic and the sticker-ed dice. But I've learned to like those aspects, and when you want to roam the countryside of Terrinoth as a heroic adventurer, you can't do better.
I painted the heroes in the game to match their card artwork, and tried to match the bases to the light green of the meadows on the gameboard and terrain dice.
